Starting the tour you drive from Muscat to the charming village of Wakan, with a stop at Nakhal Fort and its hot springs. Nakhal Fortress is a historic fort in Oman’s Al Batinah region, constructed in the 17th century and renovated in the 19th century Visitors can explore various rooms and chambers. Surrounded by palm groves, Nakhal Fortress offers scenic views. From here it’s a short drive through the village to reach the hot springs with its natural warm, mineral-rich waters that flows from the ground. From here you drive to Wakan Village, a picturesque mountain village located in the heart of the Hajar Mountains in Oman. Today you will have an exhilarating offroad drive from Wakan to Misfath Abreen, crossing the Hajar mountains, through the stunning Wadi Bani Awf. Experience the rugged beauty of towering cliffs, deep valleys, and twisting roads. This unforgettable journey will leave you with a sense of awe and adventure. Along the way have way up the mountain you can stop and visit the famous Village Bilat Said. From there you reach the top of the mountain and can descent the other side and make you way to Misfath al Abreen. Overnight in Misfath al Abreen.
Today, you have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area of Al Hamra. Explore the beautifully decorated Jabreen Castle from the 17th century. Take your time to immerse yourself in the history and craftsmanship of these ancient structures. Next, you can enjoy some leisure time in the area before driving to Wadi Damm. This picturesque wadi offers the perfect opportunity to cool off with a swim in its refreshing waters. Today we drive to the magnificent Wahiba Sands Desert. On the way you stop in Birkat al Mauz, a charming village nestled amidst lush date palm groves and banana plantations. Then drive to Ibra to visit the woman’s market (tourist men also allowed in) This bustling market provides a unique opportunity to see local women selling a variety of traditional crafts, jewelry, food items, and textiles. Here you can explore the city and have lunch before making your way into the desert. Enjoy gliding through the endless dunes, and experience the thrill of this unique desert adventure.
