One excess, one figure: OMR 150 per car — the most you pay towards an insured repair. Here is exactly what is covered, what is not, and how damage is assessed. The rules it sits under are the rental terms.

1. The insurance excess

  1. 1.1
Standard insurance is included with every car.
  2. 1.2
The excess is OMR 150 per car per incident: the most you pay towards an insured repair, provided the rental terms were followed and a police report exists for accidents.
  3. 1.3
Nothing is charged in advance. Anything due is settled at the depot when the car is returned.

2. At pickup and return

  1. 2.1
We photograph the car together at pickup and again at return; you receive the photos by email. Take your own too.
  2. 2.2
The camping kit is checked against the 41-item list, signed by both parties.

3. What is charged

  1. 3.1
Insured damage: up to OMR 150 (the excess), provided the rental terms were followed and a police report exists for accidents.
  2. 3.2
Not insured, charged at cost: tyres and wheels, glass, damage from driving in water, damage to the roof tent from driving with it open, interior damage, sand or water inside the engine from misuse, lost keys.
  3. 3.3
Missing or damaged kit items at replacement cost (list at the depot).
  4. 3.4
Extra kilometres at 80 baisa each; refuelling at pump price plus OMR 5; cleaning beyond normal at OMR 10–25.

4. Disputes

  1. 4.1
Charges are itemised in writing with photographs. Questions: reply to your confirmation email; we answer within one working day.
